Connor Leaves

I'm so excited for this new adventure in Connor's life. He's on his mission and from what he's said, he's loving it!

Connor wrote us the following highlights the night he arrived at the MTC:

"Wow I am overwelmed. So much new info went into my mind today. But I am so excited to start training. It will take a lot of work". He likes his new companion, Elder Mickelson, from Idaho. There are 6 in their district, all flying out the same day. Elder Fox (who he met at Missionary Mall while shopping with Taigon) is in the room next door. He said that "the cafeteria food is aight and the rooms are pretty nice.....This is going to be tough but way worth it".

It sounds like his experience so far is wonderful. He may not like that he only gets to stay in the MTC for just 20 days. The Spirit is so strong there. He'll probably miss it but we're sure he'll be looking forward to serving the people of the Marshall Islands.

We also heard from Connor's Mission President after I emailed him some questions. He said that Connor will be going to Marshall Islands part of his mission and not Kirabati side. I am happy about that. President Shaw said that they will be speaking straight Marshallese which they will begin learning as soon as they get there. Here's a reminder of the area of his mission and the area he'll be in:
